who am i
i am a 68 year old lady who smoked for 54 years trying desperatly to give up the filthy habit starting at the age of 14 it was the in thing to do ,you never went to a movie unless you saw the heroine with a ciggy between a pair of ruby red lips or a hero with a ciggy between 2 gold ringed fingers it'swhat you did to be in the nin crowd or a few purple hearts but this never did apeal to me BUT nobody told us or to be fair knew what these cancer sticks were doing to us nobody told usw our skin would age much quicker than a non smoker or we could end up with cronic lung disease(C.O.P.D)and i have, i a m not going to grumble about it i could have given up over the last 30 year's but i have'nt so i thought the next best thing to do about it is to try to warn anyone who will listern just how much harm you can do to yourself by continuing to puff away on your daily dose of nicotine because of the above my life although thanks to my family is still full but not fullfilling all my life i have been privileged enough to own a dog now i cant i cannot walk a dog i have'nt got the puff i go to the beach i cant play any games with the family it is a major effort to get on the beach even i always loved to take my children camping i would have liked to continue this with my grandkids im..poss..able.......i have a very understanding family so i still enjoy my life but it's not an active one just think ahead how you will feel when it's your turn are these ciggy's really worth it i wish i could have my time again i would not ever light up if i knew what i know now the cigerette athough it's given me year's of mistaken pleasure (think what other fun i would have had with the money)i now suffer because of it ......I have not had a ciggy now sinceNov 22 2008 my brothers birthday i am pleased but i still cannot consider myself as a non smoker just a reformed one ..For the first 12 days i keep a diary you might like to read it all my moods and feelings are in it and at times it's quite funny join me on my next blogg and i will read the 12 day's to you till next time dont start or try not to light up..........

Great start, I look forward to your next update x x x
ReplyDeleteGreat subject to write about Gloria! I'd imagine most younger smokers wouldn't think far enough ahead to consider how it could effect their lives - I'm glad I've given up for good, especially with a little one on the way. Look forward to your next update xx
